Kellie Martin, an American actress and filmmaker popularly known for her roles as Christy Huddleston on the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the family drama Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Her other notable roles include appearing in the titular role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin is the daughter of a department store seller and a kindergarten teacher began her career acting at the age of seven. Her aunt, who was an nanny for Michael Landon's kids helped Martin land a role in 1981's series "Father Murphy". She began acting professionally after graduating Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of roles both in the television and film industry. Martin, in addition to being an accomplished dancer and actress, is also a skilled ballet photographer. Martin is also a mother of two children and is the official spokesperson for Lupus. After her 19-year-old sister's death, Martin has worked to spread awareness of Lupus and its symptoms.
