On September 16, 1958, Jennifer Tilly was born in Los Angeles in extremely substandard conditions. Her father sold automobiles and her mother was a teacher at school and was an unreliable actress. Jennifer was the second child in the family of four she was frequently at her mother's theater performance and was awestruck. At the age of Jennifer reached the age of five, her parents divorced. Jennifer spent most of her childhood living in British Columbia after her mom was moved to the province along with her four siblings. Jennifer wasn't a student however, as a child she was extremely artistic. Because of her experience in Canada's public schools, Jennifer was the subject of much bullying. As her love for theatre waned, she began acting in plays in support of her mom. Every child was encouraged by their mom to pursue a love of art. Immediately after that she started acting.
